FOREST HOUSE STUDIO
This small, one-storey studio for the creation and displaying of art, also provides for a small sitting area adjacent to an exterior deck. The studio space is located next to a two-car garage and utility space which is accessed through the studio’s foyer. Aesthetically, the building itself is a derivative of the main house, sharing a similar palette of materials, textures and colours. The deck is accessed via three large, oversized sliding wood doors, which can completely open the studio space to the exterior and property beyond. Heating is provided through a combination of a high efficiency propane furnace and radiant floor heating, buried into the studio’s concrete floor.
