FOREST HOUSE STUDIO
This small, one-storey studio for creating and displaying art, has a small sitting area that sits adjacent to an exterior deck. The studio space is connected next to a two-car garage and utility space, which is accessed through the studio’s foyer. Aesthetically, the building is a derivative of the main house, sharing a similar palette of materials, textures and colours. The exterior deck is accessed through three large, oversized sliding wood doors, which can completely open the studio space to the property beyond. Heating is a combination of a high efficiency propane furnace and radiant floor heating, which is buried in the studio’s concrete floor.
